Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an action RPG in which players control a party of sky-faring adventurers. The game is set in the same universe as the Granblue Fantasy: Versus fighting games and even shares some of the same characters, but Relink’s story is standalone and works well as a jumping-on point for new players.

While Granblue Fantasy: Relink’s story can be played solo, it features a mission-based structure and co-op modes for up to four players, similar to Monster Hunter. In GameSpot’s Granblue Fantasy: Relink review, Jason Fanelli awarded the game a 7/10, praising its fast-paced combat and vibrant art direction, but noted its story “doesn’t do anything to stand out from its RPG counterparts.” That said, its main campaign is also shorter than many of the other RPGs released so far this year, making it less of an investment than other games in this genre–though there’s tons of post-game content for players who want to keep their adventure going long after the credits roll.
