Albany woman’s Supreme Court traffic conviction appeal tossed out as ‘gobbledygook’

An Albany woman who tried to argue she was not a “person” in an appeal to overturn minor traffic convictions has been dismissed by WA’s Supreme Court.

On November 20 2023, following a trial in the Albany Magistrates Court, Dawn Michelle Kelly was found guilty of driving a vehicle with an imitation number plate, failing to stop for a police officer, using an unlicensed vehicle, and driving on a suspended licence.
