Lam described O’Donnell’s display as “possibly the best of the year by anyone in Super League”. Back rower O’Donnell, 25, opened and finished the scoring as Leigh kept up their challenge for the top six with an eight-try victory. In between, he added two more, while Hull FC-bound Zak Hardaker touched down twice as the visitors conceded 30 unanswered points after the break. “I respect Kai very highly,” said Lam. “Kai’s up there with being the best in Super League. He probably could have scored two more tries on top of that. “He leaves nothing in the tank. I tried to get him off with 10 minutes to go but he said he didn’t want a rest and scored his fourth try. “He is the ultimate professional and got what he deserved with the four tries. I’m sure his team-mates understand that doesn’t come by luck – he works hard for that.” O’Donnell, formerly with Canberra Raiders, is returning to the NRL with North Queensland Cowboys next season and Lam added: “We are going to miss him when that time comes.” This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up #ODonnell #hits #heights #fourtry #onslaught This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up 0 Quote Link to comment https://hopzone.eu/forums/topic/96505-o%E2%80%99donnell-hits-the-heights-with-four-try-onslaught/ Share on other sites
