NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk ***** & Rescue responded to a boat ***** near the James River Bridge Sunday morning.

It happened just before 10 a.m. Crews from the Newport News ***** department and the U.S. Coast Guard also assisted with putting out the *****.

Photos from the scene show heavy flames and dark smoke billowing from the small boat.

We are working to gather more details about the incident.
