5 Single Player Games That Would Benefit From Multiplayer Modes

Single player games continue to take the gaming community by storm with countless projects by talented game developers. These stories allow players to be engrossed in unique worlds and to fill in the shoes of great protagonists as they accomplish quests and progress in the campaign.

Times are changing and most game developers lean towards the live service structure for longevity and relevance. These multiplayer projects offer an interactive experience with other players that could lead to chaotic and memorable moments. Here are five games that could benefit from multiplayer modes.

5. ****** Stranding

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Kojima designed the game with a multiplayer element of sorts like allowing players to leave items that could help other porters but never allowing players to interact with one another in the traditional sense as they deliver parcels from one city to the next on their lonesome.

Director Hideo Kojima wanted to redefine the stealth genre and go beyond norms, and the gaming community was initially divided about the project.

The visuals of ****** Stranding are out of this world and fans expected nothing less from Kojima Productions. Players will have to play it safe to avoid BTs and it could be exciting to bring together a group of players to work together and deliver packages unscathed to bring the world together.

4. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The modding community did not waste any time and took matters into their own hands after Nintendo refused to develop a multiplayer experience for the recent Zelda games. Nintendo is not fond of their games being used in mods and tampered but it was as close as fans could get. The sequel introduced new gameplay mechanics that allow them to craft anything their hearts *******.

The combat is fun and the Sages were excellent companions in Link’s journey to defeat Ganondorf proving that a multiplayer mode could benefit the franchise. Players can coordinate their attacks and create any ****** machine that could give them an edge against hordes of Bokoblins and other monstrosities.

3. Marvel’s Spider-Man

In an unfortunate turn of events, Insomniac Games pulled the plug on Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Great Web. The project had great potential and was nearly finished, leakers managed to get a hold of a concept trailer featuring different Spider-Men across the Multiverse with the fluid and action-packed gameplay the franchise is known for.

The modding community wouldn’t take no for an answer and came down swinging to revive the project. Insomniac Games delivered great single player games and perfected the formula for a superhero project and it is a shame to see this vision with great potential be snuffed like it was nothing.

2. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor

There have been countless Star Wars video games in the past and most of the ones that stood out focused solely on the gunplay and blasters. Respawn Entertainment and EA delivered a great experience where players take on the role of a former Padawan called Cal Kestis as he takes on the Empire by himself.

The developers could introduce a multiplayer feature where players can ****** together or amongst themselves to enjoy the most satisfying lightsaber effect that could rival their live-action counterparts. The lightsaber combat and force abilities were the highlights of Fallen Order and were further improved in the sequel.

The gaming community was shocked that PlayStation did not give the developers the green light to pursue a Days Gone sequel. Bend Studio is working on a new IP that is rumored to be a multiplayer project ordered by Sony and fans are hoping it will be a spiritual successor and carry over the best parts of the zombie title.

The game developers crafted a unique and ambitious horde system that blew away the gaming community. Imagine the fun players will have to work with friends to defeat a horde of the undead and when all ***** breaks loose, run for their dear lives and have fun.
