Ο Αριστοτέλης Διαμαντόπουλος αφαιρέθηκε από τους πινάκες των διαιτητών από την ΚΕΔ, μετά από απόφασή της. Σε συνέντευξή του στην ΕΡΑσπορ, εξέφρασε την δυσαρέσκειά του γι’αυτήν την απόφαση. Αναφέρθηκε στην υπόθεση με τους μεθυσμένους διαιτητές και αντέδρασε στις κατηγορίες που του απευθύνονται. Είπε ότι για επτά χρόνια ήταν πρώτος στους ορισμούς του με όλες τις ΚΕΔ και αναζητά τους λόγους για την απόφαση αυτή. Απεκρούσε τις κατηγορίες και τους ισχυρισμούς που τον έχουν σπιλώσει και αναφέρθηκε σε νέους διεθνείς διαιτητές που έχουν οριστεί. Η απόφαση αυτή φαίνεται να τον έχει επηρεάσει συναισθηματικά και να έχει προκαλέσει αντιδράσεις σε επίπεδο εμπιστοσύνης προς τον ίδιο και προς το σύστημα.
