Schwarz staves off rivals to land Group 2 Missile Stakes at Randwick

Returning four-year-old entire Schwarz scored the biggest win of his career in a nail-biting climax to the $300,000 Group 2 Darley Missile Stakes (1200m) at Randwick.

The $2.45 TABtouch favourite, who led all the way in last season’s Hawkesbury Guineas, was jumped out well by jockey James McDonald to sit in fourth place as Much Much Better ($9) fired along out in front.
