Juniper Lounge and Garden open at 1 Hotel West Hollywood

The new Juniper Lounge and Garden with botanical beverages and market-driven dishes is now open at the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood. Ingredients are sourced from their organic garden and dishes include stuffed dates, cucumber salad, seared local tuna salad and smoked lamb ribs.

Open Thursday – Sunday from 3 to 11pm.

Ggiata Delicatessen has opened it’s fourth location in Highland Park at 5025 E. York Blvd. They also plan to open a new deli in Studio City this fall.

Hollywood Roosevelt Reopens Legendary Library Bar

The famous Library Bar has reopened at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.  The cozy speakeasy housed in the corner of the beautiful lobby is now open from Wednesday to Sunday evenings. Cocktails are curated by master mixologist Michael Palazzo (from the MINA Group) and feature fermented seasonal fruits and herbs located from the Hollywood Farmer’s Market.

Celebrate National Watermelon Day

BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood and Santa Monica is offering two special cocktails in honor of upcoming Watermelon Day on Saturday, August 3. The celebratory libations include the BOA Fusion with Tito’s Vodka, fresh pineapple and watermelon and cranberry served in a tropical glass and perfect for hot summer nights. BOA is also offering a El Toro with Patron Silver, Red Bull watermelon, Licor 43 and tajin. This sweet energy boosting drink has a spicy kick.

The Abbey is offering their watermelon margarita with Absolut Vodka, fresh watermelon juice, lemon juice and a watermelon slice.

 

Taste America Culinary Series

The James Beard Foundation returns to LA to host the Taste America culinary series on August 6 at the Line Hotel. The Taste America event series celebrates culinary excellence and the local independent restaurants at the heart of our communities, spotlighting chefs who are uniquely leading the industry forward and bringing them together with food loves for a unique dining experience across 20 U.S. cities. The Los Angeles walk-around tasting will feature chef Lord Maynard Llera of Kuya Lord, who in June 2024, won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: California in collaboration with local guest chefs. For early-access at 6pm, guests can purchase premier tickets for $225 while general admission starts at 7pm for $150. Tickets are available
