Olympic Games 2024: Keegan Palmer claims back-to-back gold in skateboarding men’s park, defends Tokyo title

*********** superstar Keegan Palmer has claimed back-to-back Olympic gold in the skateboarding men’s park, defending his history-making title from Tokyo.

Just 24 hours after teenager Arisa Trew won gold in the women’s skate final of the Paris Games, Palmer dominated the final with an incredible top score of 93.11.

In front of skateboarding royalty in Tony Hawk, the 21-year-old set the gold-medal standard with his first run, a score which proved too high to beat.

Not even Palmer could top it in his second and third attempt, while the ******* States’ Tom Schaar took home silver with a 92.23 and Brazil’s Augusto Akio secured bronze (91.85).

Palmer’s 17-year-old compatriot Keefer Wilson finished 8th in the final with a score of 58.36.

It was the 16th gold medal for Australia and a clean sweep for the nation in both the men’s and women’s skateboard park events.
