Ο Δημήτρης Σκουμπάκης εκφράζει την απογοήτευσή του για τον αποκλεισμό της Ελλάδας από τα ημιτελικά των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων στο Παρίσι σε συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε στην κρατική τηλεόραση. Ο πολίστας αποκάλυψε πως η στιγμή είναι πολύ δύσκολη για όλους τους αθλητές που εργάστηκαν σκληρά για αυτήν τη στιγμή. Εκφράζει την ελπίδα να ξυπνήσει από αυτόν τον εφιάλτη και να ξαναπαίξει το παιχνίδι. Με λύπη δηλώνει ότι έχουν προσπαθήσει πάρα πολύ για αυτήν τη στιγμή και εκφράζει τα μεγάλα λυπηρά του για τον αποκλεισμό. Ο ίδιος χαρακτηρίζει τον αθλητισμό ως μια διαδικασία με καλές και κακές μέρες.
