Το εμπορικό έλλειμμα της Ελλάδας για το πρώτο εξάμηνο του 2024 βελτιώθηκε σημαντικά σε σχέση με το 2023, παρά την καθοδική πορεία των εξαγωγών. Σύμφωνα με τον ΣΕΒΕ, οι εξαγωγές αυξήθηκαν στον Ιούνιο καταγράφοντας βελτίωση. Το εμπορικό έλλειμμα συρρικνώθηκε κατά 9,8% καθώς οι εισαγωγές μειώθηκαν κατά 2,5%. Συνολικά, η αξία των εξαγωγών αυξήθηκε κατά 2,1% τον Ιούνιο, ενώ οι εισαγωγές μειώθηκαν κατά 2,5%. Η θετική τάση παρατηρείται κυρίως στους κλάδους τροφίμων και ποτών-καπνών, ενώ μειώθηκε ο κλάδος των βιομηχανικών προϊόντων και των χημικών. Στον Ιανουάριο-Ιούνιο, οι εξαγωγές προς χώρες της ΕΕ μειώθηκαν ενώ προς τρίτες χώρες αυξήθηκαν. Συνολικά, το εμπορικό έλλειμμα συρρίκνωσε κατά 9,5%, ενισχύοντας την εικόνα της ελληνικής οικονομίας στον τομέα του εμπορίου.
