Το Δικαστήριο της Δανίας καταδίκασε έναν 39χρονο Πολωνό σε τετράμηνη φυλάκιση και απέλασή του από τη χώρα για την επίθεση κατά της δανής πρωθυπουργού, Μέτε Φρέντερικσεν, τον Ιούνιο. Ο άνδρας επιτέθηκε στην πρωθυπουργό ενώ αυτή έκανε βόλτα στην Κοπεγχάγη, γροθιάζοντάς την στον δεξιό ώμο. Παρά την αρνητική του στάση κατά τη διάρκεια της δίκης, ο ίδιος δηλώνει ότι αποδέχεται την απόφαση του δικαστηρίου. Οι αρχές αποφάσισαν ότι δεν θα δημοσιοποιήσουν την ταυτότητά του. Η πρωθυπουργός δεν κλήθηκε να καταθέσει κατά τη διάρκεια της δίκης, καθώς η υπόθεση είναι στοιχειοθετημένη χωρίς τη μαρτυρία της. Μετά την απέλασή του, ο δράστης δεν θα μπορεί να επιστρέψει στη Δανία για έξι χρόνια. Η Μέτε Φρέντερικσεν εξελέγη πρωθυπουργός το 2019 και ανανέωσε τη θητεία της το 2022.
