Ο υπουργός Άμυνας των ΗΠΑ, Λόιντ Όστιν, δήλωσε ότι οι ΗΠΑ δεν θα ανεχθούν επιθέσεις κατά των δυνάμεών τους στη Μέση Ανατολή. Αυτή η ανακοίνωση έγινε μετά την επίθεση με ρουκέτες σε αεροπορική βάση στο Ιράκ, που τραυμάτισε επτά Αμερικανούς.
