Two more economists have turned the blowtorch on the Federal Government’s Budget, arguing a weak hold on the purse strings is adding to inflation pressure.

“The current Government has handed down multiple highly expansionary Budgets,” University of New South Wales economics professor Richard Holden told a Senate inquiry on Wednesday.
