Ο θρυλικός παραγωγός και ατζέντης του Χόλιγουντ, Jay Kanter, πέθανε σε ηλικία 97 ετών. Ο Kanter ήταν γνωστός για τη συνεργασία του με αστέρια όπως ο Marlon Brando και η Marilyn Monroe. Μετά την εργασία του ως ατζέντης, μεταπήδησε στην παραγωγή ταινιών σε θρυλικές ταινίες όπως τα Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise και Star Wars. Συνεργάστηκε επίσης με σκηνοθέτες όπως ο Mel Brooks. Το πρώτο του γάμο ήταν με την Roberta Haynes, αλλά διήρκεσε λίγο. Έπειτα παντρεύτηκε την Judy Balaban και τέλος την Kit Bennett, με την οποία ήταν παντρεμένος για 49 χρόνια μέχρι τον θάνατό της το 2014. O Jay Kanter γεννήθηκε στο Σικάγο το 1926 και αν και μας άφησε, η κληρονομιά του στον κινηματογράφο θα παραμείνει αξέχαστη.
