Inaugural Banksia Hill detainees graduate with a certificate in construction

The first cohort of participants in a training program out of Perth’s juvenile detention facility have graduated with a certificate in construction in a move leaders say will “transform” lives.

For some, this was the first formal qualification they had obtained and as part of the project, graduates renovated social visit areas within the detention centre, which were then shown to family and friends.
