The TPSO reported that detectives launched an investigation on June 25 after a Houma-based company reported that an employee had been stealing from the business.

During the investigation, TPSO detectives said business representatives “provided a series of documentation substantiating over $100,000.00 in funds that were stolen from the business,” allegedly connected to 43-year-old Justin Paul Doiron, who was described as the company’s purchasing agent.

Doiron was taken in for questioning on June 26, where TPSO detectives said he confessed to using company credit cards for personal items, altering company credit card statements and using company credit cards to purchase an Air BnB for a family vacation.

He was arrested and faces charges of felony theft.

According to the TPSO, “since the arrest of Doiron, Detectives have uncovered over $80,000.00 in additional funds taken from the business, bringing the total loss to over $180,000.00, linked to the investigation.”

The investigation is ongoing.
