The actress recently worked on the upcoming film Borderlands alongside Kevin Hart and Jamie Lee Curtis, and the world was waiting excitedly for it. However, reviews seem to hint that the film… is not so great.

took to his social media account on X to talk about the film. During his review, Richtman mentioned that the inclusion of Eli Roth as the director of the film is essentially what ruined what could have been an iconic game-to-movie adaptation.

They had an AMAZING script; all they needed was someone who wouldn’t get in the way and could add some visual flair. Instead, they chose Eli Roth, a truly bizarre and random decision. He rewrote the script, added a bunch of unnecessary peepee kaka jokes, and ruined it.

He further emphasized the statement that Eli Roth as the director of the movie was the wrong choice.

Maybe some day they’ll ***** that script online or do a remake with it – hopefully and with a better casting. None of it feels like Borderlands. IDK What made them to pick Roth for director – he’s not the guy for it.

seem to indicate that the film is looking for a domestic opening of around $10-20 million, against a budget of $120 million.

The release of the Marvel ****** flick Deadpool & Wolverine is not a helping factor since fans state that they would rather watch the MCU flick again, instead of the Blanchett movie. Whatever the case may be, it seems that fans do not mind Cate Blanchett as Lilith in the film.

that the footage (of his movie) showcased fun, insanity, and, total mayhem, something that Borderlands is known for.

There’s an absolute sense of mayhem and total insanity and fun that’s in the game that is infused in every frame of the film. It’s got science-fiction, it’s got creatures, it’s got a bit of Star Wars, it’s got a bit of **** Max, it’s got a bit of Barbarella, all these sci-fi influences that I love.

Well, whatever the case may be, only time can tell whether the box office collection of Borderlands will defy the expectations of fans, or whether it will just be another flopped video game-to-movie adaptation.

Cate Blanchett portrays the role of Lilith in the upcoming movie and fans are quite excited to see her character.

The film is slated for a release date of 9 August 2024 in theaters across the U.S.
