Η Εμμανουηλίδου προκρίθηκε στα ημιτελικά των 200 μέτρων στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες και εμφανίστηκε συγκινημένη στις δηλώσεις της. Αναφέρει ότι η κούρσα ήταν η πιο δύσκολη ψυχολογικά και δεν περίμενε να προκριθεί. Αν και νιώθει άτυχη που πάντα τυχαίνει σε δύσκολες σειρές, εκφράζει χαρά για την πρόκρισή της.
