Η πρωθυπουργός του Μπαγκλαντές, Σέιχ Χασίνα, φέρεται να παραιτήθηκε και να εγκατέλειψε τη χώρα λόγω των συνεχιζόμενων διαδηλώσεων. Η ηγέτιδα της χώρας επιβιβάστηκε σε ελικόπτερο με προορισμό την Ινδία, εν μέσω αγνόησης της εθνικής απαγόρευσης κυκλοφορίας από πλήθη που εισέβαλαν στο πρωθυπουργικό μέγαρο στη Ντάκα, όπως μετέδωσαν τα τοπικά μέσα ενημέρωσης. Οι αντικυβερνητικές διαδηλώσεις έχουν προκαλέσει τον θάνατο πάνω από 300 ατόμων από τον περασμένο Ιούλιο. Η κατάσταση παραμένει εξαιρετικά επικίνδυνη και αβέβαιη, με την πρωθυπουργό να αποχωρεί από τη χώρα για τη δική της ασφάλεια. Περισσότερες πληροφορίες αναμένονται σύντομα.
