Τον Ιούλιο του 2024, η επιβατική κίνηση στο αεροδρόμιο της Αθήνας αυξήθηκε σημαντικά κατά 9,3% σε σύγκριση με τον ίδιο μήνα του 2023, φθάνοντας τα 3,61 εκατομμύρια επιβάτες. Τόσο η εγχώρια όσο και η διεθνής επιβατική κίνηση σημείωσαν αυξήσεις κατά 5,9% και 10,8% αντίστοιχα. Κατά τους πρώτους επτά μήνες του έτους, η συνολική επιβατική κίνηση άγγιξε τα 17,62 εκατομμύρια επιβάτες, με άνοδο της τάξης του 14,6%. Τόσο οι εσωτερικές όσο και οι διεθνείς πτήσεις αύξησαν κατά 8,0% και 17,6% αντίστοιχα. Ο αριθμός των πτήσεων στον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Αθηνών αυξήθηκε κατά 12,4% τους πρώτους επτά μήνες του 2024, φτάνοντας τις 150.344 πτήσεις. Οι πτήσεις εσωτερικού και διεθνείς πτήσεις σημείωσαν ανοδικές τάσεις κατά 5,5% και 17,8% αντίστοιχα σε σχέση με το 2023.
