Stocks slugged by US recession risk, bonds bet on cuts

Share markets slid and bonds have rallied in Asia as fears the ******* States could be heading for recession triggered mass risk aversion and wagers interest rates will have to fall sharply and quickly, to support growth.

Investors began where they finished on Friday by knocking Nasdaq futures down 1.87 per cent, while S&P 500 futures dropped 1.22 per cent.
