Fremantle star Hayden Young has declared the midfield must take responsibility for Sunday’s loss to Essendon at the MCG, saying they fell a long way short of their usual standard.

The Dockers lost by one point on a day where they lost the centre clearances 15-11, including the crucial last centre bounce where Sam Durham ran forward to boot the match-winning point.
