Now that the AFL have announced the highly anticipated changes relating to drafting, trading and academies, they simply must turn their focus to ensuring the fixturing and training conditions such as those experienced by Fremantle and Gold Coast over the weekend are eradicated from the game.

The timings of games, avoiding successive travel weekends and guaranteeing clubs have adequate training facilities when interstate must become a priority.
