Η Σερβία κατάφερε να νικήσει το Νότιο Σουδάν με 96-85 και να εξασφαλίσει την πρόκριση της Εθνικής ομάδας στην τελική φάση του Ολυμπιακού τουρνουά στο Παρίσι. Αν και δεν κατάφεραν να επιβάλλουν τον ρυθμό τους, οι Σέρβοι ηγετικοί με παίκτες όπως ο Γιόκιτς και ο Μπογκτάνοβιτς. Η αντίπαλος της Ελλάδας στην επόμενη φάση θα είναι η Γερμανία, σε ένα αναμενόμενο “de ja vu” από το Eurobasket 2022. Η αγωνία για την πρόκριση της Ελλάδας ήταν συνεχής λόγω των εναλλαγών στο σκορ. Παρά τα μικρά ξεσπάσματα της απόδοσης τους, οι Σέρβοι κατάφεραν να κερδίσουν τον αξιόμαχο αντίπαλο. Η διαφορά στο σκορ είχε συνεχείς αυξομειώσεις, με την ελληνική αγωνία να είναι σε “τεντωμένο σχοινί” μέχρι το τέλος. Ο αγώνας ολοκληρώθηκε με το τελικό σκορ 96-85 προς όφελος της Σερβίας.
