*********** small businesses have been warned to expect a rise in the amount of unpaid invoices owed to them the longer inflation and interest rates stay elevated.

Cash flow problems are already affecting two in five small businesses, according to a fresh survey from online accounting software provider Intuit Quickbooks. It found that on average, each of these small businesses were owed $23,000 in unpaid invoices, with nearly half of the firms having invoices that are overdue by 30 days or more.
