Two pilots were rescued on Monday, July 29, after their aircraft crashed into the sea off the coast of southern Greenland, Danish authorities said.

According to the post, the plane, a *******-registered aircraft, was en route to the Greenland settlement of Narsarsuaq from Canada when it made a mayday call on Monday afternoon and subsequently crashed southwest of Qaqortoq.

The rescue was conducted by members of Denmark’s Navy, Air Force, and Arctic Command units, with local police.
