Ο αθλητικός διευθυντής της Λάτσιο, Άντζελο Φαμπιάνι, διέψευσε τα δημοσιεύματα που έκαναν λόγο για ενδιαφέρον της ομάδας για τον Χάμες Ροντρίγκες. Αναφέρει πως ο παίκτης είναι πάνω από 33 ετών και δεν αποτελεί προτεραιότητα λόγω ηλικίας. Επίσης, εξετάζονται πολλές περιπτώσεις για το επόμενο καλοκαίρι, αλλά η απόκτηση του Κολομβιανού μεσοεπιθετικού δεν είναι στα σχέδια της Λάτσιο. Ο Ροντρίγκες πρόσφατα αποχώρησε από τον Ολυμπιακό και υπήρξαν φήμες για ενδιαφέρον της ιταλικής ομάδας, αλλά σύμφωνα με τον Φαμπιάνι, δεν πρόκειται γι’ αυτό. Ο παίκτης είχε εκπληκτικές εμφανίσεις στο Copa America και η Λάτσιο εκτιμά την ποιότητά του, αλλά την ίδια στιγμή έχει άλλες προτεραιότητες στην αγορά μεταγραφών.
