Lotto: Perth man wins big on Slikpik but waits a month to claim winnings

A man from Perth’s eastern suburbs threw caution to the wind and opted for a Silkpik 12 ticket over his usual regular numbers, and it paid off big time.

The winner collected a division one prize worth $832,394 and revealed he only won because he chose to branch out from his preferred numbers.

“I usually choose my own numbers, I have a few up my sleeve that I like to pick from,” he said.

“The store was busy, and I was in a rush, so I just grabbed a Silkpik 12”.

The Perth local made another surprising decision and waited over a month to collect his division one prize.

He plans to put his new-found fortune towards his future and to help his family.

It’s been a lucky day for WA residents, as last week’s Superdraw created two WA Division One wins.

The Powerball will be drawn on August 1 in a $ 20 million draw.

Tickets are available until 6 pm in-store and via the Lotterywest app.
