Ο Τζακ Γκρίλις, ποδοσφαιριστής της Μάντσεστερ Σίτι, περιέγραψε το φετινό καλοκαίρι ως την πιο δύσκολη περίοδο της καριέρας του, καθώς δεν επιλέχθηκε για να αγωνιστεί στο Euro με την εθνική Αγγλίας. Αναφέρει πως αισθάνθηκε συντετριμμένος και δυσκολεύτηκε να αγνοήσει τη διοργάνωση ενώ ήταν σε διακοπές. Τονίζει πως θα μπορούσε να προσφέρει κάτι διαφορετικό στην ομάδα της Αγγλίας και ότι αυτή η εμπειρία θα τον ωθήσει να προσπαθήσει περισσότερο τη νέα σεζόν. Παρά την απογοήτευσή του, δηλώνει πως πρέπει να προχωρήσει μπροστά και να χρησιμοποιήσει αυτό το περιστατικό ως κίνητρο. Εκφράζει την ανυπομονησία του για τη νέα σεζόν και τονίζει πως η ποδοσφαιρική του καριέρα έχει γνωρίσει πολλά σκαμπανεβάσματα.
