Even Hidetaka Miyazaki Knows One Decision Could’ve Been the Self-Destruct Button for Dark Souls 3

There are a lot of elements that are taken into consideration when making a video game. One of the major elements of all the Soulsborne games created by Hidetaka Miyazaki, is the insane level of difficulty they pose for the player.

Managing how hard you want your game to feel for the player is a challenging task, as one wrong move can open the floodgates for negative feedback from fans. Talking about how he avoided this exact issue before the release of Dark Souls 3, Miyazaki explained via

There are many obstacles a director faces while creating a video game, and as mentioned before, one of the biggest is setting the perfect amount of difficulty for the game. Talking about how he overcame this challenge while creating the Dark Souls series, Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed-

“When you think about it, the difficulty in the Dark Souls franchise so far has been something that players have eventually been able to overcome. So when I show concern to the development team members, that’s why the term I use is unreasonable – basically, we don’t want to go too far. It’s about striking a balance.”

Miyazaki ultimately unveiled how the games he had created till that point had been something the players had been able to tackle by themselves. However, when during the production he feels there is an unreasonable amount of difficulty being put in, he points it out to other team members, hence creating a balance in difficulty.

Another major factor that makes all the Soulslike games unique is their storyline. All the games created by Hidetaka Miyazaki include an intriguing storyline that can keep the player hooked for hours. A recent theory states how nearly every single game made by the renowned director might be linked to each other in a grand timeline.

The prediction starts by stating how the transcend humanity ending available in Bloodborne may be a prequel to the events of Elden Ring. It mentions how our main character becomes the outer **** known as the greater will and protects the Lands Between from the influence of other evil and outer gods.

After the eventual incident of the Shattering, our tarnished character comes along in the scene, finally allowing the evils of the world to pour into The Lands Between if we choose Ranni’s ending, as it removes the influence of the Greater Will. Covered in ash and fog, the theory concludes by predicting how the events of Elden Ring follow into that of ****** Souls and finally, Dark Souls.
