Μια νέα έρευνα δείχνει ότι η χρήση φαρμάκων για την μείωση της χοληστερόλης μπορεί να συμβάλει στη μείωση του κινδύνου καρκίνου στο ήπαρ. Η ομάδα της Katherine McGlynn του U.S. National ******* Institute εξέτασε το ιατρικό ιστορικό 19.000 ανθρώπων και συνέδεσε τη χρήση αναστολέων απορρόφησης χοληστερόλης με 31% μικρότερες πιθανότητες εμφάνισης καρκίνου στο ήπαρ.
