Despite having lost a significant number of players in recent days, Nexon continues to heavily invest in adding content to The First Descendant. Recently, they introduced Luna, a new character for players to use. 

However, some fans noticed that this particular character design is quite generic, resembling heroes seen in other similar titles.

One month after its launch, Nexon continues to add constant content to its new third-person action game, The First Descendant. The title provides players with PvE action with a variety of skills and weaponry options to customize their gaming experience.

The possibility of using a completely new character is among the additions. Unfortunately, the community is not very satisfied with its design.

Nexon Should Rethink the Designs for Future Characters

Comments on social media are not positive, and platforms like X show that fans expected more originality when adding new and potential characters. Some users even noted that the designs resemble other games like Valorant, which have similar heroes to choose from.

This is quite negative for the studio, which is already going through a tough time due to the significant player loss in recent weeks.

If this continues and the game keeps losing users, it could be the second major title of this kind to shut down prematurely, similar to what happened with Warhaven. Nexon suffered a similar fate due to frequent player losses.

It’s very challenging to keep players’ attention for a long time when there are so many similar offerings to try to compete with. Even with the accessible free-to-play model, there are no guarantees.

Over time, this game will feature numerous heroes, including TFD Luna. The studio’s idea, in one way or another, is to have the game receive constant waves of content to keep players interested for as long as possible.

The competition is fierce, and the race for players’ attention is extremely tough, making it very difficult to establish a solid community of regular players.
