Karratha throws support behind State Government’s over-55s lifestyle retirement village proposal

The City of Karratha has thrown its support behind the State Government’s plan to build an over-55s lifestyle retirement village in town as part of it’s recently adopted age friendly strategy.

At the June 2024 council meeting, councillors endorsed the Age Friendly Strategy 2024-2026 Implementation Plan and Monitoring Framework after the City conducted an analysis of the current and future needs of local seniors with respect to aged care, housing, and infrastructure.
