Jack ****** Wonders Why GTA and Red ***** Redemption Haven’t Gotten Film Adaptations Yet

Jack ****** has earned the reputation of being the go-to actor whenever a game is being adapted into a Hollywood film production, considering the wide range of adaptations that he has been a part of. From voicing the tyrannical Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie to playing Steve in the upcoming Minecraft adaptation, the star seems to be well-versed in the world of games and feels like a genuine fan of interactive media.

As he’s set to portray Claptrap in the Eli Roth-directed Borderlands film, ****** has been wondering something that other gamers would probably agree with.

, Jack ****** discussed his role in the upcoming Borderlands movie while also talking about other video game gems that have deserved the Hollywood treatment for a while.

Specifically naming Grand Theft Auto and Red ***** Redemption as the two major titles whose film adaptations have been long overdue, the Bowser voice actor stated that he “can’t believe they haven’t already started making a movie of any of the Rockstar Games,” putting more emphasis on RDR since the series is already considered to be a cinematic experience by the gaming community.

Those things are already like movies,” continued ******, as the sheer scope and potential of video games have become massive with the help of modern technology, essentially making them playable films.

According to Jack ******, “some video games are already halfway there to telling those kind of stories,” which is quite evident by just looking at the GTA 6 trailer that absolutely broke the internet when Rockstar Games unleashed it on the gaming industry.

The Borderlands actor also mentioned how “there are some movies that are like video games,” explaining that the two forms of media have become interchangeable as they borrow bits and pieces from each other to create immersive experiences.

Rockstar Games’ titles, like Red ***** Redemption 2, always end up being cinematic gaming experiences.

Using the 2018 interactive film ****** Mirror: Bandersnatch as a fitting example, Jack ****** went on to state that the two industries are probably going to collaborate a lot more in the near future, saying that “we’re moving in that way where there’s going to be more combinations of video games and movies.”

For those unaware of Bandersnatch, the film basically let viewers decide how the story was going to unfold, combining the not-so-different realms of gaming and motion pictures together to create a uniquely unforgettable result.

Jack ****** thinks the upcoming inter-industrial collaborations are “exciting,” believing that “it’s like the beginning of a new era.”

Do you agree with ****** and also think that Grand Theft Auto and Red ***** Redemption deserve to be adapted into films? Let us know in the comments!
