PSVR 2 Gets $200 Price Cut In Hopes To Move Units

If you’ve been waiting to pick up a PlayStation VR (PSVR) 2 headset, now may be the time to do so. Sony has cut the price of the PSVR 2 by $200 across

The $200 price brings it down to $349.99 from $549.99. That brings it, finally, lower in cost than the more popular Meta Quest 3 headset that starts at just $449.99 depending on the store.

The ***** seemingly coincides with a ******* to move more units of the disappointing VR headset along with the upcoming release of the PSVR 2 app on Steam. The new app will allow players to use the headset on either their PlayStation 5 or PC.

In addition to the app, however, you’ll need the $60 adapter for the device. Still, it’s cheaper than buying a PS5 console where VR support has seemingly been cut by Sony due to lackluster player adoption.

Should you want to buy the PSVR 2 after its price cut, you only have until August 6 to make the purchase before it jumps back up again. If you want to pair it with a game, the Horizon Call of the Mountain VR bundle is also on ***** for $399.99.
