The Karratha Falcons have defeated the Karratha Kats for the first time since 2013 as the league races towards the pointy end of the competition.

The two teams were neck and neck after the first quarter of the Karratha derby as they clashed down on Bulgarra Reserve on Friday night, with the Kats taking an uneasy lead 1.2 (8) to 1.1 (7).
