Pokemon Go, while not a classical MMO certainly feels like one with trainers worldwide participating in the same events, raids, and community days to catch and evolve their favorite Pokemon.

Released back in 2016, players continue to make new discoveries and share with others. With over 1,000 Pokémon and their evolutions, Evee stands out for its unique evolution possibilities. Unlike other Pokémon that evolve in a single, predictable way, Eevee can evolve into multiple forms called Eeveelutions. While each evolution has different demands, players have come forward to share a rather easier way. 

All Eevee Evolutions in Pokemon Go 

In Pokemon Go, Eevee can evolve into multiple forms called Eeveelutions. There are eight different evolutions, which makes it a unique and rather tricky Pokemon in the game. Each evolution is a different type of Pokemon, and to evolve Eevee into each form demands different requirements. 

To evolve Eevee into Sylveon, players need to start a Buddy Adventure which at ****** will last a few days but can prolong to infinity. By making Eevee their Best Buddy and earning 70 hearts, Sylveon’s silhouette will appear next to the evolve button, indicating it’s ready for evolution.

For Umbreon, walking 10 km with Eevee and evolving it at night will do the trick. Similarly, Espeon requires walking 10 km with Eevee but evolving it during the daytime.

If you evolve Eevee at a Pokestop by using a Mossu Lure Module, Leafeon will appear. Moreover, Glaceon requires a Glacial Lure Module, available at a PokeStop for 200 coins. 

For the original Kanto Eeveelutions, things are a bit more random. Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon each have a 33% chance of appearing when evolving a regular Eevee with 25 candies. There is no guaranteed method to secure a specific one of these three, making it a roll of the dice each time.

However, all of these can be eliminated with a simple name trick. There are veteran players who know this trick, but also those who are just discovering it and are not shy to talk about it. 

How to Get All Eevee Evolutions with the Name Trick

There is a rather simple method to get all eight Eevee evolutions. A simple Pokedex entry change is all a player needs to do. Each name change corresponds to a certain evolution, eliminating all prerequirements.

• Rename Eevee as Kira to evolve into ******-type Sylveon
• Rename Eevee as Linnea to evolve into leaf-type Leafeon
• Rename Eevee as Rea to evolve into ice-type Glaceon
• Rename Eevee as Sakura to evolve into psychic-type Espeon
• Rename Eevee as Tamao to evolve into dark-type Umbreon
• Rename Eevee as Rainer to evolve into water-type Vaporeon
• Rename Eevee as Sparky to evolve into lightning-type Jolteon
• Rename Eevee as Pyro to evolve into *****-type Flareon

Reaching all Eevee evolutions grants level 42 to trainers and with the name change trick players can achieve this quite easily. However, players need to save it until they are level 41 and get the task to evolve all the Eeveelutions. Otherwise, all will be wasted as they can’t skip from a lower level to level 42 directly. 

Pokemon Go continues to be a daily dose of Pokemon augmented reality for trainers worldwide and that isn’t likely to change. With new events, raids, and updates overall, generations of new trainers are joining the ranks as they try to catch them all. 

The name trick for Eeveelutions makes the transition from level 41 to level 42 a lot smoother, and using it at the right time, makes it a fantastic rule skip.
