A man has been charged after he allegedly threatened a woman with a ****** and stabbed the family dog while two children were in the house.

Police were called to a caravan park on Cooma Road, Narrabri about 8pm on Sunday night after reports a woman had been threatened with a ****** and the family dog stabbed.
