Sunday’s reshuffle was one the Prime Minister could no longer avoid.

Despite the retirements of Linda Burney and Brendan O’Connor triggering the changes, Anthony Albanese’s clear aim was to shift Clare O’Neil and Andrew Giles out of home affairs and immigration respectively.
