Why WA children’s reading rates among Australia’s worst

*********** children are reading for pleasure less than they used to, and WA kids are among the most reluctant readers.

Between 2018 and 2022 the percentage of *********** children reading for pleasure fell from 79 per cent to 72 per cent, according to the *********** Bureau of Statistics. In WA it was even worse, down from 79 per cent to 71 per cent.
