One of Margaret River’s most historic wineries, Cape Mentelle, have launched their latest varietal range of classic styles targeting a very affordable retail pricepoint of $21.99. The label presentation is exceptional and captures the beauty of the region. The wines are well made, sound representations of the region’s style and varieties, albeit in a more rounded, easily accessible style.

A Margaret River classic white blend which captures the aromatic pungency of the region’s semillon and sauvignon blanc grape varieties. There’s passionfruit, orange blossom, grapefruit and hay. The mouthfeel is front-loaded with bright and fruity characteristics, with citrusy and grassy elements. Simple, with no overt, complex winemaking. A good wine, with a rounded finish and an easy-to-drink sensation. 90/100
