Ryan Jun Wen Siew: Zoology student tried to smuggle three lizards out of WA, cable-tied one in a sock

A zoology student who claims to love animals tried to smuggle three lizards out of WA by cable-tying one in a sock and hiding it in a box with two other small reptiles and several toys, a court was told.

Ryan Jun Wen Siew faced Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, where he was handed a six-month jail term for trying to export the native fauna as well as treating the animals cruelly.
