Fallout 4 was released almost nine years ago, but it seems to be something in Bethesda’s games that just draws people to keep working on the game. The modding community has shown just how far they are willing to go with Skyrim, and Fallout 4 is being viewed with the same amount of potential.

There is now a new, massive video game mod that is sure to excite every fan and even get people to buy the game a second time if necessary! Fallout London is a collaborative project between GOG and Team FOLON that fans can finally enjoy.

Fallout 4 Mod Brings an Entirely New Experience to Fans of the Series

Many modders now get the same level of appreciation as great game developers. More so, in some cases, as the mods are often free of charge! The same can be said for Fallout 4’s latest experience, which will take players across the pond from the Commonwealth to the grimy streets of post-apocalyptic London.

It has been one of the most anticipated among the Fallout 4 mods, and so it has also drawn quite a bit of flak with regards to delays and a lack of creator communication. However, the wait has finally ended as GOG.COM announced on X that the mod is available via a giveaway from the site. It’s been a long wait for those following the project, as it was first announced back in 2022!

It’s going to be a very different experience for those coming from the base game. We are going to trade the desolate wastelands for London’s streets. It’s going to be a far more claustrophobic feeling as we weave through the alleyways and even crawl into what appears to be the underground metro system.

The fact that such a massive addition to the game is entirely free should be enough to win Team FOLON a lot of goodwill. Fallout 76 has faced a rocky road since launch, and fans of the series will no doubt appreciate more content as they await the fifth installment.

With just a crew of modders releasing a DLC-size mod for the game in an entirely new setting, Bethesda is now in the hot seat when it comes to its development process. The studio’s next release will be Starfield’s Shattered Space, but fans are already asking about big projects in the pipeline.

Most fans are now awaiting news of either Fallout 5 or Elder Scrolls 6, as these are the two big franchises that have not received a major update in a long time. Elder Scrolls 6 might be more likely than a new Fallout, though, as Fallout 76 has been receiving regular updates from the studio.

The new mod is going to reinvigorate interest in the base game, and this may be a double-edged sword for Bethesda. While it might get more people to buy the game, it could also lead people to add to the criticism the studio has been facing for a while now, thus creating a new wave of complaints.
