An 83-year-old battling mesothelioma has spent 24 hours parked in a hospital corridor because there were no rooms available.

Ian Hay struggled to sleep on Tuesday night as he endured bright lights and constant beeping from machines while lying on a portable bed next to a notice board in a hallway at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
