Starfield’s Biggest Timesink Mechanic Needs Finishing With the Shattered Space DLC

Starfield has had a tumultuous ride so far, with the game being under scrutiny since its release. Although the anticipation for the game was massive, it seems like Bethesda’s title didn’t live up to the expectations. In particular, the end-game content has received massive flack for lack of things to do.

Once players reach a certain level, most of the game becomes automated, and there isn’t much to do apart from hoarding resources. There is clearly a lack of direction in the end game, which is why the upcoming Shattered Space DLC needs to hit the bull’s eye in optimizing the end-game experience.

Shattered Space DLC Needs to Make the End Game Engaging

Even though the game features over 1,000 planets across more than 100 star systems, the exploration aspect becomes tedious after a point. Hence, the end game revolves around farming resources and developing automated systems that will do the job for you.

Setting up Starfield Outposts can be tedious and challenging, but once you are done with the process, you can rely on AFK farming to gather resources. Of course, this seems ideal on paper, but this is also the reason the end game becomes one-dimensional.

to express confusion about the end-game content in Starfield. According to user u/lepobz, there isn’t much to do apart from hoarding after setting up various systems to farm resources. Furthermore, these are mostly automatic and don’t require supervision, so no skill play is involved.

It goes without saying that the upcoming DLC needs to address this issue. Giving players a more precise objective in the end game is vital for extending the game’s shelf life, as players often become stagnant after reaching a certain point.

Can Mods Save Another Game From *****?

Despite the plethora of issues in Starfield, the recent addition of the creation kit has breathed new life into the game. Mods are the backbone of many big-name titles, and this could help save the narrative of Starfield, which has been going downhill since its release.

There is a mod that lets players experience the Star Wars universe within the game. Additionally, players can enjoy the “Useful Brigs” mod, which allows them to capture and sell NPCs to different factions.

It’s worth noting that Bethesda has been considering adding paid mods to the game. Unsurprisingly, this did not sit well with fans. Considering that the concept of paid mods had already ******* with Skyrim back in 2015, it’s puzzling why Bethesda would even consider trying it again.
