Capcom surpassed that mark in its 2023 financial year when digital sales accounted for 90.1% of the company’s total sales across consoles, PC, and mobile. For 2024, the company is projecting that digital sales will rise to 93% of its total.

The recently announced Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is getting a physical and digital release, but the long-term direction of the company suggests that the number of digital-only games will continue to rise.
