Owen James Woods: Bail refused for allegedly using a baby as a human shield to avoid being tasered

A Gnowangerup man accused of punching an eight-year-old and using a baby as a human shield during his arrest will remain in Hakea prison after the court denied him bail.

Owen James Woods, 48, appeared in Albany Magistrates Court via video link from Hakea Prison on Thursday charged with unlawful aggravated ******** doing bodily harm, endangering a person, and engaging in reckless conduct while having care or control of a child that may have resulted in that child suffering for alleged offences in Gnowangerup on June 20.
