Man attacked by shark at North Shore beach in Port Macquarie

A man in his 20s has been mauled by a shark at a popular beach in New South Wales.

Emergency services were called to North Shore Beach in Port Macquarie about 11am Tuesday after the man was attacked.

He was treated at the scene for leg injuries.

A rescue helicopter has been deployed.
