About 11am on Tuesday, emergency services were called to North Shore Beach in Port Macquarie after the man was attacked. The man, believed to be in his 20s, was treated at the scene for leg injuries. Multiple ambulance crews and a rescue helicopter were deployed. The man was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
